A limited-permit circuit that circles the eighth-highest mountain on Earth through villages that still trade with Tibet. Fewer trekkers, deeper forests, and the 5,106m Larkya La as the dramatic finale.
Tsum Valley, the side trip north of the main trail, is one of the last genuinely Tibetan Buddhist enclaves in Nepal — butter-lamp temples, cliff hermitages and barley fields.
