Quick answers
01 How fit do I need to be?
If you can walk 5–6 hours on hills with a daypack, you can trek in Nepal. Most of our travellers are not athletes — pacing, acclimatisation days and honest route advice do the heavy lifting. Every trip page shows a difficulty meter so you can match the route to your fitness.
02 What exactly is included in the price?
Everything listed under 'Included': permits, TIMS card, guides and porters, teahouse lodging, three meals a day on trek, ground transport and airport pickups. Flights to Nepal and personal gear are the main exclusions — no small-print surprises.
03 When should I book, and can I change dates?
Spring (Mar–May) and autumn (Sep–Nov) fill 4–6 months ahead. Book any time with a 20% deposit; date changes are free while seats last, and you cancel for free up to 30 days before departure.
04 Is altitude dangerous? How do you manage it?
Every itinerary we sell is built around acclimatisation — gradual gain, rest days and pulse-oximeter checks. Our guides are wilderness first-aid certified and make the call to descend without debate if anyone struggles. That discipline is why we've never had a serious altitude incident.
Why KORA
KORA Himalayan Journeys is a Kathmandu-based trekking company, run by the guides who walk these trails every season. We do not resell other operators' departures: every itinerary on this page was scouted, risk-assessed and priced by our own team, from the teahouse beds you sleep in to the porter who carries your duffel. That is why our prices sit where they sit — honest, itemised, and free of commission layers.
Nepal rewards preparation. Choose by fitness with our difficulty meters, by season with the twelve-month calendars on every trip page, and by departure with live seat counts — then book with a 20% deposit, free changes while seats last, and free cancellation up to 30 days before departure. The mountains have been here for sixty million years; they will wait two more weeks for you to choose well.
